Niagara Falls History Museum

The Niagara Falls History Museum currently has three exhibits; Food for Health, Gale Family War of 1812, and the Niagara Falls Community Gallery. The Food for Health exhibit is the only exhibit that is not currently ongoing and will be coming to an end on January 3rd, 2016. This exhibit takes a look at the foods we eat and how they do much more than entertain our tastebuds. It takes a closer look at these foods, how you prepare them, and how they affect your body. Are you REALLY what you eat? Find out before January 3rd!

WORLDS SMALLEST MICRO-SCULPTURES!

At the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum here in Niagara Falls (until December 27), they will be featuring the smallest event they’ve ever hosted; The Worlds Smallest Micro-Sculptures! How small is ‘the smallest’ really though? Well most of these sculptures are actually so small that they will fit on the head of a pin, or in the eye of a sewing needle! These teeny tiny tastes of art were created by artist Willard Wigan. Wigan creates these miniature masterpieces with homemade carving tools, using natural materials including his own eye lashes! These mini-marvals are on display at Ripley’s museum in Niagara Falls ‘Odditorium’ ONLY UNTIL DECEMBER 27!

The Oakes Garden Theatre

The Oakes Garden Theatre is the gateway park leading to the Queen Victoria Park. Built on the site of a demolished hotel (1937), the debris and remains from the hotel can still be found scattered throughout the park. Filled with beautiful foliage, limestone hardscaping, iron gates, and rock gardens, the Oakes Garden Theatre is designed as an amphitheater where concerts, weddings, or other events are planned! And did I mention, its FREE!
