This year will be the 64th annual Meridian Grande Parade! Host of miraculously talented marching bands, drum corps, majorettes, and beautiful parade floats, you’re sure to enjoy the free entertainment of these performances, and many more! Each year more than 100,000 people visit the Meridian Grande Parade. Each year the parade is themed; this year the theme is Harvest Street Party!

FREE and Floral!

Take a free trip to the most photographed attraction in Niagara Parks! The Floral Clock is located at Niagara Parks and is maintained beautifully throughout the year with the floral patterns being changed and rearranged twice every year! Featuring an 85 foot water garden, the clock is 40 feet wide and is one of the largest clocks in the world! Fun and FREE for the whole family!

Fun and FREE!

Today I’m going to be talking about what to do at Niagara on the Lake if you’re trying to save money. Something extremely fun and popular to go to is Dufferin Islands. Dufferin Islands is a span of small islands across 10 acres of beautiful wildlife scenery. Here you will be able to catch and release fish, feed birds at their bird feeding stations, and bring a picnic for the whole family! Dufferin Island is also home to the Winter Festival Lights that debut November through January each year!

Theatrical Cemetery Tours!!

This month the Niagara Historical Society and Museum will be featuring a haunting, theatrical tour of St Marks Cemetery. The spooky tours will begin in front of Addison Hall, St Marks Anglican Church and are conducted on the following dates: September: 18, 19, 25, and 26 at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm! The tickets are 10 dollars per person and must be purchased in advanced!

Fort George Ghost Tours!

Prepare to get spooky and experience Fort George after hours! Niagara on the Lake is commonly referred to as the most haunted town in Canada. At Fort George there have been hundreds of paranormal reports and sightings over the years, including the presence of a spirit they refer to as, “The Watcher.” Come get spooky with tours ranging from May-October! The Niagara Historical Museum on Sunday, September 20 (2pm), will be showing an interactive biography discussion group about historical figures! Discussions presented every 3rd Sunday through November and are presented by local residents!
